Fair Trade Products  and Social Entrepreneurship

As a result of our successful 2010 exploratory tour in the Philippines, we are proud to present to you the following products:

organic sugar

Muscovado Sugar is a pure, natural, wholesome, unrefined and natural cane sugar with high molasses content, produced by co-op farmers from La Castellana, Negros Occidental who are assisted by Upgrading Performance for Sustainable Capacities And Livelihood Enterprise in Negros (UPSCALE-Negros).

Lemongrass oil, communities in northern Negros are aided by the Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation, Inc. (AIDFI) in producing this product throughout the year which also provides them with stable market. AIDFI is a non-governmental organization helping the poorest upland farmers to improve their marginal living conditions.

AIDFI also supports the community to promote and implement environment-friendly appropriate technology towards sustainable development. The Techno Park in Bacolod City is a showcase of its award-winning engineering concepts and designs that support renewable energy as well as organic  agriculture.

KINIPAN is a local cooperative in Quezon, Philippines that provides livelihood to mostly women and is assisted by the local government. The cooperative grows herb plants organically and processes them into supplements and health and wellness products.

And, of course, our classic products line-up:

Bazura Bags, which are made from recycled juice containers, are the main source of livelihood for the men and women belonging to a cooperative in Pasig, Philippines. The Kilus Foundation Philippines is credited for establishing the cooperative.
